SALONE dell’ARTE del RESTAURO e della CONSERVAZIONE dei
BENI CULTURALI e AMBIENTALI
Ferrara, March 28/31, 2012
XIX edition
Cultural heritage to improve life standards
At such a sensitive time in history and in the light of the many challenges posed by the worldwide economic crisis, Ferrara’s Trade Fair on the Art of Restoration and Conservation of the Cultural and Environmental Heritage puts the true asset of our Country, that is, our environmental, historical and art heritage back into the spotlight. This is precisely where we need to start, since this is our true, undeniable asset which, most importantly, cannot be reproduced elsewhere. This is why it is so important to find suitable facilities, new opportunities and professional profiles to work synergistically to enhance and turn our heritage into a key driver for our national economy.
The new face of Salone del Restauro
The makeover starts from the distinctive traits of its logo. Its new “R” is more compact; it embodies the essence of the architectural legacy we are called to preserve and appears with a rather contemporary design to express the determination to relate to the big issues of today’s world.
The Salone is soon to launch a new website, a portal entirely focused on restoration, which will feature news regarding this specific business as well as environmental and cultural heritage conservation. This tool is meant for use as an open platform to exchange information with the new media as well as architecture websites and portals, professional orders, CNA (National Craft Federation) desks, and trade associations. |

The new face of Salone del Restauro
The XIX edition of the Salone is to take place at the Ferrara Fair on March 28 to 31, 2012, and is scheduled to host over 250 exhibitors (material and technology producers, museum equipment manufacturers, service providers and software designers, restoration centres, bank foundations, universities and public bodies). The seminar and conference programme is particularly comprehensive, as it will focus on very current issues by means of a new communication language, one that can foster a dialogue about the most relevant topics having to do with the preservation of our art heritage, which also happens to be the main focus of the whole event. Just to briefly explain the programme, in 2011 the exhibitors organised a total of 52 international conferences and 105 meetings and seminars. |
Culture, art and the relation between humans and their local environmentThe latest edition of the Salone del Restauro will devote much of its programme to the sanctuaries of culture that, once brought to new life, become the destination of choice of highly selected tourism. Not only does this principle apply to Italian art sites, but also to important foreign projects that have become synonym to a new approach to art and the relation between humans and their local environment. The scheduled exhibitions and seminar will analyse a number of case histories from India, Brazil, Malta and several North African Countries. |
